Safety Evaluations of Roundabout in the City of Phoenix

The City of Phoenix, in partnership with the University of Arizona, is conducting a safety evaluation of the roundabout at West Lower Buckeye Road and South 99th Avenue, identified by Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) as one of the region's highest-risk intersections. This project aims to assess the effectiveness of recent re-striping and signage improvements in reducing crashes and improving operational safety. The evaluation will leverage advanded data sources, including NoTraffic camera analytics for near-miss detection, crash records, and traffic behavior observations, to measure safety performance and identify contributing factors.
